Dear neighbours,

My name is Dr. J. Susan Falk and I am a Canadian trained Chiropractor who has recently relocated to beautiful Perth from Vancouver, BC Canada. Prior to my move, I had been in practice for two years and am now excited to be building my practice along side Dr. Victoria Shoemaker Young at Shelley Chiropractic.

While Dr. Victoria focuses on low force Chiropractic techniques, I tend to use more traditional Chiropractic manual adjustments as well as soft tissue therapy. Lighter options are always available as each patient is treated individually taking into consideration their comfort level, needs and expectations.

I pride myself on making sure my patients are well educated as to their case. You should never feel like you do not understand what is going on with your own body!! All questions are welcomed and I look forward to meeting you! Be sure to drop in and say hello!

Yours in health,

Dr. J. Susan Falk

WHAT IS CHIROPRACTIC

Chiropractors work with and enhance the body’s natural ability to heal itself without drugs or surgery.  Like all professional health care practitioners, Chiropractors follow definite protocols to gain the information to provide you with the best care.  They will take your health history and conduct physical, orthopedic and neurological examinations and may order x-rays.

We know that the nervous system controls the functions of every tissue, organ and system in the body.  Chiropractic concerns itself with the relationship between structure (primarily of the spine) and function (primarily coordinated by the nervous system) of the human body, and how that relationship affects the restoration and preservation of health.

When that relationship is compromised by a spinal bone interfering with the nervous system (a vertebral subluxation), your Chiropractor will deliver a spinal adjustment (a specific, precise, corrective force to the offending spinal segment).  This correction permits normal nerve transmission, enabling the body’s innate recuperative power to begin the healing process.  A subluxation resulting in a “pinched nerve”, has been proven to interfere with the nerve transmission to various organs and tissues of the body, and may be the cause of many health problems.

It is said that the body needs no help in looking after itself, just no interference.  Your pain or health problem may be caused by a nerve blockage by a subluxation.  Make sure your nerve channels are clear by having Dr. Susan Falk check you at Shelley Chiropractic.
